Several months ago, Google launched a new compose experience for Gmail.
Most people loved the new experience since it was much easier to continue to work within your Inbox while working on one or multiple new messages. However, many people missed the more full-screen experience of the old compose window.
Over the past few days Google has rolled out the ability to default to a new full-screen experience. While in the compose window, selecting 'More options' now provides a 'Default to full-screen option'.
When this Setting is enabled, you will be presented with a full-screen compose window and the additional formatting options will show by default. You can also get this view by clicking on the two small diagonal arrows in the top right of any compose window to show or collapse the full screen view.
These changes were based on your feedback about the new compose experience, what do you think?
