Helpful App of the Week: Right Inbox

Cloud Computing makes it easier than ever to try and leverage new applications. Quality Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) applications like Gmail always offer a free trial, many applications even offer a free version.

Gmail is the core of our communications both internally and externally. Right Inbox brings some great additional features to Gmail. Installation takes a few seconds; Right Inbox can be added to Chrome, Firefox or Safari. If you're using Internet Explorer we have a simple solution, stop using Internet Explorer.

Right Inbox allows you to:

  • Schedule Email: Extremely helpful if you can't sleep but don't want your coworkers to know you're working on Saturday night! This feature is also great for Business Development professionals trying to catch a decision maker in their office early or late, without having to keep the same hours. Or write the follow email for next week, today!

  • Email Reminders: Want a reminder to follow up with a client in a week or two? Perhaps you need a question answered before a particular project milestone sneaks up on you. How about follow up with a new customer exactly 1 month into your relationship? Set the reminder and archive the message; Right Inbox will remind you at the perfect time. Your inbox remains clutter free!
  • Click Tracking: Did your customer leverage the training resources you sent them? How about that prospect, did she check out your awesome link? Right Inbox will let you know if people check out your content and even give you some information about where the action took place.

Right Inbox offers two plans.

They have a Freemium (free) version which provides full functionality for up to 10 events per month; you can schedule 10 emails and set 10 reminders each month for example. This plan provides a great way to test out the application before you decide to part with your hard earned money.

Right Inbox also offers an Unlimited version which, as the name suggests, allows for unlimited use of the application's services. This version can be purchased annually for about $47 or monthly for $4.95.
