Google Forms let you easily create questionnaires and automatically collect responses in a spreadsheet. Google recently launched a new version, rebuilt to bring you a faster, cleaner, and more collaborative experience.
The addition of collaboration is the best new feature. Jump on a Hangout and knock out your customer experience survey, a technology asset questionnaire, a student assessment, or an electronic form for any other data you'd like to collect.
Forms also received a great new user interface (UI). The new UI makes Forms even easier to work with and allows a very comprehensive form to be built very quickly - especially when working together as a team.
Google explains some of the additional changes, "All your changes are auto-saved and you can quickly undo/redo edits. Improved copy-and-paste will let you copy a list of bullets from the web or multiple rows of text from a spreadsheet; then, when you paste into a form, each line will be appear as an individual answer. And you can use keyboard shortcuts to get things done more quickly."
Data collection is only half the story, we also have to be able to quickly analyze, understand and report the information we've gathered; we must transform information into knowledge. Like the previous version of Forms, the new version is directly integrated into Google Spreadsheets. With Google Spreadsheets you can slice and dice the data any way you'd like. Spreadsheets will automatically summarize your results and you can even leverage a variety of graphs and charts to create realtime dashboards based on form submissions.
Google Forms are extremely powerful and easy enough to use that every employee and department can take advantage.
